To Be a Bulldog
Oh to be a Dog… Man’s best friend,
He won’t abandon his owner,
even until the end!
It would solve all problems… what to eat for lunch,
not enough sleep and working a bunch.
Instead… my domain would be the house.
I would hang out and wait to be fed,
Wherever I could find some sunshine
is where I’d make my bed.
No more worries about appeasing my friends,
No more worries about making a mends,
No more worries about money and bills,
Licking myself would provide all the thrills!
So this is my wish, should I die & comeback.
It’s not to be a Shepherd or Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Instead an English Bulldog, all happy and fat,

Bulldog Poem: Bulldog in Bed
The bulldog slumbers at the foot of my bed
Grunting and snoring confounding my head
Paint on the walls appears to be peeling
The overhead light dangles loose from the ceiling
Slime covered pillows from slobbering jowls
Silk pillowcases replaced by old towels
The cracks in the walls get progressively deeper
Timeless reminders of a resounding loud sleeper
Kicking and thrashing while chasing a rabbit

Skateboarding Bulldogs
The English Bulldog is not known for its sportsmanship but there is one sport in which they excel, skateboarding! Across the world there are skateboarding Bulldogs and some even became global celebrities by skating. Two of the first and most famous skateboarding Bulldogs are Tyson and Tillman. Both Bulldogs have a glorious sporting career behind them and both are still skating. The bulldog has a sort of natural aptitude for skateboarding, they will not only stand on it and skate off but also do turns and tricks by moving their weight on the board, just like human skaters do.

Jake and the Fatman (and Bulldog Max)
Jake and the Fatman is an American detective series with William Conrad and Joe Penny.
The series ran from 1987 to 1992. William Conrad played Jason Lochinvar “Fatman” McCabe, a prosecutor. He is usually accompanied by his English bulldog Max. He works with the younger detective Jake Styles (played by Joe Penny) and assistant officer Derek Mitchell (Alan Campbell).

Little Nicky is a silly comedy. Satan (Harvey Keitel) decides that his youngest son, Nicky (Adam Sandler), should be ruler of the underworld. His other two sons are blazing over there! As said many people choose a fast and hectic life for an English Bulldog. Valentino Rossi is an excellent example. Valentino Rossi is an Italian motorcycle racer. He has 8 world titles and 103 Grand Prix victories to his name, making it one of the most successful motorcycle racers ever. Human Medications are not for Dogs!
Luckily, most people understand that there are human medications, and there are dog medications. But the last few years more and more people think they are veternarians themselves and think they can do without a vets visit. On the internet there are several Lists that are spread with titles as: Human Medication approved by Vets. I think this is a dangerous trend. It is true, eventhough there are not many, there are some human medications that work for dogs aswell, but before you can give any medication you have to make a diagnosis and only a skilled veternarian can do this. Do not think, that just because you got a lot of experience as a dogowner that this makes you a skilled Vet!
With the bad economy, people try to be inventive and try to diagnose their dogs by searching the internet and giving them human medications. Because of this a lot of Dogs get poisoned. In the US there was an estimate made that in a single year that about 100.000 pets were poisoned.
The Top 3 reasons of Pet Poisoning:
1. Medication for humans
2. Flee and Tick products
3. Human food
Even giving your dog baby aspirin, formerly thought of as safe, is not only harmful to your dogs kidneys but studies show it has no effect on dog’s pain!
Only give your dog medication that is for dogs. Do Not give any petmedication from other species aswell. Catmedicine are totally different than dogs for instance. Some of the human medications do work for dogs but only use them under vet supervision and recommendation. Always consult your vet before giving your dog any medication so you dont risk overdosing or harming your own dog!

Michelle recently moved to Texas and now specializes in Pet Photography. So if your in Texas and want some cute photos of your own Pet make sure to contact her. She also makes rescue animal photos for free. Michelle has a Bulldog named Bella and two Jack Russels name Gus and Woodroe. She had a male bulldog name Rocky, that just died in January. She is hoping to add a new doggy to her family soon.

The Blog has been quiet the last few days. I have been sick last couple of days. So for those who are waiting for their Blog to go on, I will put it on as soon as I feel better. James and Bean are really sweet when I get sick, they even lean against me when hanging over the toilet and they have a new game called Tissue Tearing..so the whole room is now covered in all white fluffy torn tissues;-)

The meaning of M’s Bulldog (James Bond Skyfall)
In several scenes, of the movie Skyfall from James Bond you can see a Royal Doulton china Bulldog on M’s desk. The figure is not just a movieprop but plays a significant role in the movie plot. In the opening sequence, when M is writing Bond’s obituary, the bulldog is facing outward as if M is watching England. Throughout the rest of the movie, the bulldog is facing M, as if England is watching M. When she wills the bulldog to Bond, she’s giving him responsibility for England. The figure, which dates back to the 1940′s features in the James Bond saga and can be seen in several of the film’s shots. The dog, which sits on M’s desk, survives an explosion and plays a significant role in the film’s final scenes.
The company behind the Bulldog figure is Royal Doulton. A spokesman stated: “Since the 19th Century the Bulldog has symbolised the steely determination of the British character and, given wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s uncanny facial resemblance to the dog, it was inevitable that the 1940′s saw a bulldog-linked propaganda and imagery. Jack has been produced alongside two other bulldogs, Alfie, who sports a trendy London motif, and Patch, who models a map of Great Britain on its coat.
My own Bulldog was names after James Bond, his name James Hond 007
(Hond means Dog in dutch).
Meet Sebby and Fortunato
Sebby is a rescue from Buddies thru Bullies he was adopted about 6 months ago by Sebastian Carrillo and he is approximately 51/2 years old and living in Miami, Florida. Fortunato is also a rescue he was dying in the road when we found him and is very fortunate to have survived hence that is why his name is fortunato. He is approximately 9 months old. Look at those cuties enjoying nappy time together. Thank You Sebastian for sharing both Sebby and Fortunato! We now have one more V.I.B (very important bulldog) and the first V.I.C. (very important cat).

Bulldog Art Work
On the Baggy Bulldogs Facebookpage I post everything about Bulldogs, Funstuff, Videos, Wallpapers and Bulldog Art. Someone contacted me if I wanted to share her Bulldog Art work…Well of course!
She offered to make a drawing of my own two bulldogs, James & Bean. Allthough Im an artfanatic I never had my own Dogs painted or drawn. So I am now very proud to present the very 1st Baggy Bulldog work of Art, my own two beautiful Bulldog Models James and Bean drawn by Julie Souza.

Meet Gurley
Meet Gurley, she’s eight weeks old. She lives in Winterville, Georgia with her Family. Where she just moved this Wednesday. She is Loving her new Home and is being Loved like she is their Little Baby . It was a beautiful day outside and she Played until she couldn’t hold her eyes open.
